Reason for arrival: He was surrendered with Toucan, they had been together since young (though not siblings), they were split shortly after arrival due to them being stressed together (Woodpecker arrived with wet fur under both eyes which got completely better once away from Toucan, Woodpecker wasn't neutered by the previous home so was done here)

Temperament with people: Started off quite shy but has been getting more confident, he's a sweet gentle boy. Easy for handling for nail trims etc

Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoys dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. He occasionally gets some cold pressed grain-free pellets during colder weather but generally is pellet-free

 

Type of home needed: He currently lives outdoors but could also live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D. He's currently single so needs a rabbit partner
